Although the “hostage drama” technically ended an hour ago, its repercussions will permanently stain the country. It is disheartening, how a Filipino is actually capable of committing such a cruel act. However, we must not allow this mistake to define who we are. I honestly hope that this serves as a wake-up call for the entire Philippines, especially to my generation. Humiliating as it was, we should rise to the challenge, fix what needs fixing. We’ve been through worse before, and we’ve managed to bounce back. How is this situation any different?
